Add Service Notes

Explanation

Use this activity to add a new Service Note. Notes can be created for the following entities in IFS Cloud:

Service notes are free-text comments, that can be used to provide and capture pertinent information relevant to the lifecycle of a particular record. You can use Note Types to categorize service notes and it is possible to use pre-defined Template Texts to populate the text.

Each service note has a Visibility flag to control whether or not it is internal or External. It's possible to define if the service note is to be visible in the Mobile Client, by using the Sync To Mobile flag.

When a service note is created it is saved as an active note. All notes displayed in the Mobile device and IFS Cloud will be active by default. Notes can be made Inactive, and thus hidden from view, by turning off the Active flag on the service note page (the Active field is hidden from view by default, but can be added via the Page Designer).

Prerequisites

None.

System Effects

A new Service Note will be added along with a note type, the username of the creator, the creation date, the visibility setting and the mobile sync flag.
