This activity is used to connect Service Delivery Units to a Service Organization. The Service Delivery Units are responsible for the execution and delivery of the work on a Request. When a Site is connected to a Service Organization, it is referred to as a Service Delivery Unit. A Service Organization can have multiple delivery units, each having its own Logistics Site. The Logistics Site is used as the default site for when material demands are created. One Service Delivery Unit must be defined as the default and will be set on Request Scopes created for the Service Organization. When creating a Service Organization, it is mandatory to define an Owning Site and a Sales Site.
Sites connected to a Service Organization, can be connected to multiple Service Organizations.
Sites defined on the Service Delivery Units cannot be used in other Service Organizations. It is only possible to uses sites that belong to the Company of the Service Organization.
As a result of this activity, Service Delivery Units will be added to the Service Organization. Alternative Logistics Sites can be defined for a Service Delivery Unit, and at least on is defined as the Default Service Delivery Unit.
