A Freight Booking message is used to integrate with multi-carrier shipping applications to support freight rating and quoting and to provide the transportation of shipments. The message includes shipment delivery information, part information, handling unit information, receiver ID, receiver address, ship via, delivery terms, forwarder, place of departure, etc. This activity can be executed either manually per shipment or automatically in the shipment flow. It can be executed in Shipment or Shipments page. The shipment type of the shipment determines whether or not to send the Freight Booking message automatically. In the shipment type it can be defined that the message should be sent at execution of a main activity in the shipment flow e.g. report picking, complete or deliver.
