View Absence Limits
Explanation
This activity is used to allocate yearly absence limits for an employee for
a selected period.
Note: If required to carry forward the unused absence limits from
the previous year, enter the absence type which is specified as the outstanding
absence type for the relevant absence type in the Limit Definition Details
page. The remaining absence limits from the previous year will be allocated
as the absence limit.
Prerequisites
In order to perform this activity
- Absence groups and absence types are required to be defined in the
Absence Group page. The absence group is required to have
the Show Limits option enabled and a calendar type should also be
linked to the absence group using Absence Limit Definition
page.
- Group definitions are required to be entered for the absence type in
the Absence Limit Definition
page. If it should be possible to manually enter the limit, the
Manual Limit option is required to be selected. If the
absence limit should be automatically calculated, the seniority requirement
for automatic limit allocation should be specified in the Absence
Limit Definition Details page (accessible from the Absence
Limit Definition page/ Limit Definition
section).
- Absence types which should be used as dependent absences are required
to be registered in the Absence Limit Definition
page /Dependent Limit Definition section.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the limit allocation will be updated in the
Absence/Absence Limit Day and the Absence Limits
pages.
