Define Scheduling Resource

Explanation

This activity is used to define Scheduling Resources and to enter relevant scheduling data for each scheduling resource. Resources are added per company, which can be changed in the upper right corner of the screen. It is necessary to set up a resource as a scheduling resource if you want to schedule the resource in PSO. Each resource must be connected to a valid Scheduling Resource Type which is defined in the Scheduling Basic Data/Resource Type screen. For a Person resource, Scheduling Resource Type of Type Person will be possible to select, and for a Crew, Scheduling Resource Types of Type Crew. If scheduling data is not defined for a resource it will inherit the data from the connected Scheduling Resource Type e.g. the start and end locations or scheduling costs. For the start and end locations (Address ID Start/End) the coordinates defined for the address will be transferred to PSO. The scheduling data for a resource can be changed at any time but will only be updated in a LOAD. The active flag can be used to disable or enable a resource. Only active resources are used for scheduling.

The Logon Method can be set either to Active Logon or Auto Logon. If Active Logon is set, the Logon status in PSO will be retrieved based on the real-time shift status of the Resource, and Activities will get planned based on that. If Auto Logon is set, the resource will always be logged on from a scheduling perspective and PSO plans activities for the resource irrespective of whether the resource is actually available in the shift or not.
