Define Cancellation Cause

Explanation

This activity is used to define cancellation causes applicable for either work order, work task, work assignment or work task step.

Reject Redispatch set on the Cancel Cause, enables the technician to indicate that the task should not be re-scheduled to the same resource.

If a Cancel Cause with Reject Redispatch flag set is given when cancelling a Work Assignment , this will create a Resource Preference with Preference 0 for the Work Task in Work Task\Scheduling Information. This will be considered in PSO when re-scheduling the Task. This functionality is currently limited to mobile.  

In Fleet and Asset Management, a cancellation cause will be required when you cancel a maintenance order, maintenance event or task card/subtask that has been issued to a workshop. In order to use cancellation causes for these instances, the Maint Order, Maint Event and Work Task options need to be selected based on your requirements. Following dependencies must be considered:

The cause for cancellation is created and can be used to cancel work orders, work tasks, work assignments, work task steps, maintenance orders, maintenance events, and task cards/subtasks.
