Change Operational Status

Explanation

Use this activity to change the operational status of a functional, serial or service object.

Prerequisites

Before entering mandatory object information, an object must have been created.

The prerequisites for setting the object to specific statuses are shown on the following table.

Note: The functional service objects will follow the above table as a functional object and the serial service objects will follow the above table as a serial object.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the operational status for the object will change. If you change the status to:

In Operation, you can use the object, enter history data for it and create entries for it in the operational log.
Out of Operation, the object is temporarily out of use due to activities such as routine maintenance/service, repair, management decision, or lack of need. It is possible to plan any maintenance/service activities for the object with this status.
Scrapped, you cannot use the object.
