Create New Work Assignment

Explanation

Use this activity to create additional work if more work needs to be done when setting the work assignment to Incomplete. You can create another work assignment for yourself for a future date or time.

The Time to Complete Work attribute is automatically filled in with the remaining time entered in the previous step of the Incomplete assistant.

Note: Creating a new Work Assignment is not possible if you select an Incomplete Cause which has the Do not reassign to me flag enabled.

Prerequisites

• The work assignment should exist on the mobile device.
• The work assignment should have been assigned to a user.
• A Workflow Configuration with Configuration Type - Work Task , Request Task , Configured Work Task or Configured Request Task is applied to the Work Task, and the action Restrict Follow-On Work Actions On Incompletion is disabled.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a new resource demand for the Work Task and an assignment for the demand is created. The new assignment will be available in My Work for the technician to continue with remaining work.
