Create or Update Map Position

Explanation

Use this activity to create or update the map position of a task or an object from mobile.The current mobile device location is retrieved and used to update the map position. Use the Person Resource Workflow Configuration action "Allow Create/Update Map Positions" to disable this action if required.

Prerequisites

• Application parameter value for "LOCATION_ON_DEMAND_MODE" is set to FINE or COARSE.
• GPS property is enabled on active application version and in the installed app per device.
• Location service and app permissions to access location are enabled in mobile device.

System Effects

• If the task or the object already has a default map position set, it gets updated with the current device location.
• If the task or the object has no map position, a new map position gets created and set to current device location. The new map position is set as the default map position for the task or the object.
