Create New Planned Flight
Explanation
If the flight you require is not listed as a planned flight, you can create a new planned flight for an
aircraft.
When you create a new planned flight, you must, at minimum, specify the aircraft, flight name, departure and
arrival airports, scheduled departure date and scheduled arrival date. Alternatively, specifying the scheduled
departure date and the flight duration in turn sets the scheduled arrival date for the planned flight.
You must enter the departure date and arrival date in the time zone assigned to the departure airport and
arrival airport. Once you create a flight, the departure and arrival dates are displayed with the relevant time
zones.
The aircraft specified on the planned flight can also be edited at a later time.
Prerequisites
- Aircraft and airports must be migrated. Your solution manager must have run the migration jobs listed in the
Technical Documentation for Forward Flight Operations.
System Effects
- The Scheduled Departure Date and Scheduled Arrival Date are copied to the
Actual Departure Date and Actual Arrival Date fields respectively.
- A flight with the Planned status is created and displayed on the Planned
Flights or Flight Details page.
Procedure
- On the Planned Flights page, click New to add a new flight. Alternatively
if you are viewing the details of an existing flight on the Flight Details page and wish to add
a new flight, click New.
- For the new flight, provide the following information and click OK:
- In the Aircraft field, type the registration code or aircraft description in the
Find field and select the required aircraft.
- Enter a Flight Name.

- Enter the Arrival Airport code.
- In the Scheduled Departure Date field, select the date and time that the aircraft
is scheduled to leave the departure gate, or enter it in the format indicated on the field.

that the aircraft is scheduled to arrive at the arrival gate in the Scheduled Arrival
Date field.
- Enter the Departure Gate and Arrival Gate, if required.
