Add Part Requirement
Explanation
When working on a task or fault, you might need to use parts to complete your work.
You can add parts for a task on the Task Details page, and for a fault on the Fault
Details page.
When the Config Slot field on the Add Part page is set to
Mandatory, it indicates that the part is designated for a mandatory configuration slot within an
aircraft, i.e., the part must be installed.
Prerequisites
- A task must exist in the Active or In Work status.
- A fault must exist in the Open or Deferred status.
- Basic data for parts, part groups, aircraft systems and subsystems must have been defined before.
System Effects
- A part added to a task or a fault can be viewed from the Task Details or
Fault Details pages respectively.
- If the added part is a tracked, serial or repairable batch part, both part removal and part installation
records are created. If the added part is a non-repairable batch part, a part installation record is
created.
- Part installation and part removal records can be viewed on the Part Changes tab of
the mobile application, and the Part Installations and Part
Removals tabs of the web application.
Procedure - Add a part
You can perform this procedure online or offline. For faster part search results, perform this online.

Details page and select Add Part.

required, sort your search results by the Sort by field.

be issued.
