This activity is used to define the criticality of a task card, i.e., how critical it is for the safety, cost, comfort and/or operational stability of the equipment being maintained. Observe the following example:
Assume that the task card is significantly important to the safety criticality of your part (equipment). Therefore, when you define a criticality for this task card, you should preferably select the criticality type Safety with a criticality level of Important or Very Important. Criticality codes and levels are predefined in the task card basic data.
Optionally, you can choose to display task card criticality in planning
and execution flows by enabling the Include in Planning/Execution toggle
switch. This ensures that the criticality code and level are visible when the
task card is part of a maintenance visit. Once the criticality is saved,
this option becomes read only and any change needs to be done via the Change
Include in Planning/Execution Flows in the Criticality tab
of the Task card page.
It is possible to define
multiple criticalities for a task card, each having a different criticality
code. However, it is important to note that you can only enable the Include
in Planning/Execution Flows toggle switch for one criticality
at a time. E.g., if this option is already enabled for a particular record,
and you want to enable it for another via Change Include
in Planning/Execution Flows, the one already enabled will
be disabled, and the option will be enabled for the new record. Changes
made to this option on an active task card will not be included in ongoing or
currently planned work. Instead, it will be part of future planned work.
