Shipment handling unit labels can be printed for the entire shipment or for specific handling units. The shipment handling unit label contains information about sender address, receiver address, transport instructions, delivery note number, number of handling units and the total weight for handling units.
In Shipment Handling Unit Structure page the header command Print Shipment Handling Unit Label(s) prints labels for all shipment handling units that has setting Print Shipment Handling Unit Label enabled. The command is visible as soon as one handling unit has the setting enabled.
In addition, it is possible to print a label for a specific handling unit no matter if the Print Shipment Handling Unit Label is enabled or not. This can be done in the Handling Units tab, by selecting the handling unit(s) and then click the Print This Shipment Handling Unit Label command.
Note! If you add the Optional Event Print Shipment Handling Unit Label to the Shipment Type be aware that it triggers the shipment level command Print Shipment Handling Unit Label(s) that prints labels where setting Print Shipment Handling Unit Label is enabled.
The setting Print Shipment Handling Unit Label is useful, for instance, if you want to print label for the pallet but not for the boxes on the pallet or if you want the labels to be printed automatically from the optional event. It can be maintained on the handling unit type and in the packing instruction. When handling units are added to a shipment the setting will be defaulted depending on if the handling unit is added via a handling unit type or a packing instruction but it can later be edited manually if needed.
A report containing labels with information about the sender, receiver, transport instructions, delivery note number, number of handling units contained and handling unit ID is printed.
