Create Shop Order from Shop Order Requisition
Explanation
This activity is used to create a shop order from a shop order requisition.
If the shop order requisition is created by Project Material Requirements
Planning (PMRP), the requisition source should be PMRP and attached to a project activity
(PPSA- Program ID, Project ID, Sub-Project ID, Activity ID). When creating a
shop order from a requisition, PPSA should be copied to the shop order and the
shop order should get the pre-posting from the project.
To create shop order(s) from requisition(s), select the relevant
requisition(s) and click Create Shop Order(s).
Note: If a shop order is generated from a requisition
where the Requisition Source is set to Direct
Supply, but no shop order is created for the direct demand
requisition, it could lead to the master scheduling/MRP generating another
direct supply requisition in the subsequent run, potentially causing an
oversupply.
Prerequisites
- At least one shop order requisition with the
status Proposal Created must exist.
- If the part is serial tracked and either Structure Effectivity or Routing Effectivity
is set to
Serial, serial numbers must be reserved on the shop order
requisition. The serials you choose to reserve for the shop order
requisition should pertain to a single structure and/or single routing
alternative.
System Effects
- If the Requisition Type is Manufacturing,
one or more shop orders with Order Type set to
Manufacturing are created. The maximum lot
size of the part and the quantity on the shop order requisition dictate how
many shop orders are created.
- If the Requisition Type is Remanufacturing,
one shop order with Order Type set to
Remanufacturing is created for each requisition regardless of
the maximum lot size of the part.
- If the requisition has requisition(s) pegged as direct supply in
the status Proposal Created, these will be processed
based on the Requisition Conversion option selected
on the Product Structure/Direct Supply
page.
- If the Requisition Type is Disassembly,
one shop order with Order Type set to
Disassembly is created for each requisition regardless of the
maximum lot size of the part.
- The ownership and owner values of the shop
order requisition will be transferred to the new shop order.
- The Need Date is set the same
as the Due Date of the requisition. If Plan Manufacturing
Supply on Due Date is enabled for the part, the need date time
is set to the last working time of that day according to the site
manufacturing calendar. If disabled, the need date time is set to
00:00.
- The status of the shop order requisition(s) is changed to Shop
Order Created.
- If the shop order requisition is connected to a project activity,
the planned committed cost and planned committed hours of the shop order
requisition are moved to the shop order(s).
- Serial and/or lot/batch numbers reserved for the shop order
requisition(s) are transferred to the shop order(s).
- If alternate components have been used in the material requirements planning netting
process, the Alternate Component Used field on the Shop Orders
page will be indicated. This alerts the planner to replace one
or more components with alternate components before releasing the shop
order to avoid shortage problems.
