Activity Finite Schedule Shop Orders
Explanation
Use this activity to schedule shop orders in MSO Manual scheduling mode
Note: This activity is not applicable for MSO Automatic scheduling mode. In Automatic mode MSO will create &
maintain a finite schedule when required.
The schedule is created and optimized based on:
- Shop order scheduling data such as Need date, Earliest start date, Lot size, scheduling direction and other
constraints defined in routing.
- Site scheduling data settings such as Scheduling quality and maximum processing time given in Finite
Scheduling basic Data.
- Project activity dates, and Order structures including DOP and Shop order statuses like Released, Started,
etc..
- The Site scheduling optimization parameters like, setup matrices.
Prerequisites
- Finite scheduling basic data should be created for the site.
- The site should be set to use MSO static scheduling mode.
- The site should be connected and and the PSO server connected to the site should be running (Check server
availability).
System Effects
As a result of this activity, a finite schedule is created and saved back to the Database. The order of
execution ( schedule start and finish times) will be set. Upon loading to the shop floor workbench , these
operations will be visible for shop floor workers in the order that they are scheduled for them to execute.
