Release Complete Batch Balance ID
Explanation
To release all shop order requisitions connected to the same batch
balance ID into shop orders, click Release Balance.
Prerequisites
A batch balance ID with at least one shop order requisition connected
must exist.
System Effects
- As a result of this activity, the system releases all shop order
requisitions connected to the batch balance into shop orders.
- The shop orders will be created with order number, release number
and sequence numbers following below logic:
- The first shop order created from the first release will be
assigned a new shop order number, release number 1 and sequence
number 1. E.g., 123456 - 1 - 1. The following shop orders will be
assigned the same order number and release number, but with an
incremental increase of the sequence number by +1. E.g., 123456 - 1 - 2, 123456 - 1 - 3
etc.
- The first shop order created from succeeding releases will be
assigned the same order number as the parent node if that node is a
shop order. Else, a new order number
is generated. The release number is set as
the highest existing release number for this order number
+1 and the sequence number is set to 1. E.g., 123456 - 2 - 1. The
following shop orders created below the same parent will be assigned
the same order number and release number, but with an incremental
increase of the sequence number by +1. E.g., 123456 - 2 - 2, 123456
- 2 - 3 etc.
- When a shop order on a sub-level node is created from a batch
balance release for a part with Lot/Batch Tracking set to Order Based, the
Sub Lot Rule
is set to Sub Lots Allowed and Multi-Level Tracking is
disabled, the shop order lot/batch number is generated as a sub-lot to
the master lot of the parent node shop order. I.e., if the master lot of
the parent node shop order has lot/batch number 123456-1-1-1, the
lot/batch numbers for shop orders on sub-levels nodes are generated as
sub-lots using the format 123456-1-1-1:1, 123456-1-1-1:2, 123456-1-1-1:3
etc.
- If Lot/Batch Tracking for the part is set to Lot Tracking
the shop orders will inherit the lot/batch number reserved to the shop order
requisition if such exists.
