Calculate Routing Operation Actuals
Explanation
Use this activity to create a snapshot of routing operation details and
calculate the actual results for different operation attributes used in
a routing.
Calculate Routing Operation Actuals assistant calculates the
actual values of operation attributes based on closed shop orders within the
defined date range. This snapshot allows you to compare planned values with actual values for different operation attributes.
This information can be used to update the operation attributes to enhance the accuracy of the routing.
To identify shop order operations to include in the calculation, operations
are identified by comparing the routing type, routing revision, routing
alternate and operation number. This means that a shop order operation and a
routing operation will be considered the same if they have the same
operation number. Even if for example, the work center or labor class has
been updated.
The following attributes are calculated: machine setup time, machine run
factor, resource share per unit, fixed resource share and usage factor.
Note:
- Configuration Rule and Alternate Rule
columns display the rule at the time when the Snapshot ID is created.
This means that if the configuration or alternate rule has been changed
during the revision/alternate life cycle, the displayed rule might not
have been used for the operations for all the closed shop orders within
the timeframe.
- The configuration rules are displayed in the user language that
created the Actuals Snapshot ID.
- For non-configurable parts, the operation usage factor, actual usage
factor, and usage factor difference are not displayed or calculated, as
the usage factor does not apply to these parts.
- The attribute resource share will display and have calculated values
either in resource share per unit or fixed resource share fields,
depending on the type of resource share used in the routing operation
line.
Prerequisites
- To calculate for a configurable part, IFS/Configuration Back Office
and IFS/Configuration Characteristic must have been installed.
- At least one routing of a part should be in a buildable status.
- At least one closed shop order using the routing should exist within the
specified date range.
System Effects
- The actual operation attribute values are calculated.
- A new record with a new snapshot ID is created on
Routing Operation Actuals Snapshot and Routing
Operation Actuals Snapshots page.
