Define Direct Supply
Explanation
This activity is used to define a part that could be disassembled or
remanufactured to directly supply a remanufacturing shop order using this
structure alternate.
To define the direct supply for a remanufacturing structure alternate,
open the Direct Supply tab, create a new record
and enter the Part
and whether the Supply Type should be Disassembly
or Remanufacturing. Optionally enter/edit below
values:
- Priority which indicates how optimal the supply
from this part is.
- Supply Qty per Unit which is the quantity of
the part that should be planned to be disassembled or remanufactured to
supply the remanufacturing of one unit of the main product.
- Lead Time Offset which is the number of workdays
prior to the start of the remanufacturing of the main product that the
direct supply should be available.
- Requisition Conversion which controls what will
happen to a shop order requisition for this part if its status is
Proposal Created and it is pegged as direct supply to a
remanufacturing requisition for the main product when that
remanufacturing requisition is converted into a shop order.
Prerequisites
- A structure alternates for a structure header with Structure Type
set to Remanufacturing must exist.
- To add a part as direct supply, it must have a structure header with a
Structure Type that corresponds to the selected Supply Type.
System Effects
It will be possible to peg a supply shop order for the entered part and
supply type to a shop order using this structure alternate.
