Update Structure Component from Actuals
Explanation
Use this activity to update the Usage Factor values of the configuration structure components
using the calculated actual values of the usage factors on the Structure Components Actuals
Snapshot page.
When updating, two options are available for selecting the revision to update:
- Calculated Revision: The revision the calculation was performed for.
- Latest Revision: The latest routing revision, this can be a different revision than the
calculated one that is valid today or one planned to be used in the future.
This update function provides the facility to update the component usage factors in three different ways.
- Set New Values from Actuals: Update usage factor value in the configuration structure
component lines to the calculated actual values.
- Set New Fixed Value: Set a new fixed value for the usage factors in the configuration
structure component lines.
- Update with Percentage: Add a percentage increment to the current usage factor in the
configuration structure component lines.
Note:
- If the Structure/Routing Update setting on the Site/Manufacturing page is set as
Restricted, the update function will not perform for the structure revision alternates that are in
Buildable status. Also, the Obsoleted structure revision alternates will not be updated. If
the combination of Parent Part and Alternate No does not exist for the selected revision to be
updated, then the update will not be performed.
- For non-configurable parts, the structure usage factor, actual usage factor, and usage factor difference are
not displayed or calculated in the snapshot, as the usage factor does not apply to these parts. Therefore, it is
not possible to update the usage factor for these.
Prerequisites
- At least one record should exist on the Structure Component Actuals Snapshot page,
including the calculated usage factor actual value for structure components for a configurable part.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, component usage factor in the structure revision alternates will be updated as per
the selected options.
