Change Existing Control Plan Manufacturing

Explanation

This activity is used to change the control plan manufacturing associated with a shop order if the phase in or phase out dates of the control plan do not properly coincide with the start date of the shop order. The start date must fall between the phase in and phase out dates of the control plan. If it does not, you will not be able to create an analysis or view the details of an analysis for this shop order. Once everything is done, the control plan connected to the shop order will be reconnected accordingly with the used start date.

This activity can also be used to change the control plan if the shop order has been modified. If operations have been added to the shop order, for example, you might want to create a new control plan revision that includes these operations. You can then change your shop order to use this new control plan revision.

You can use this activity either before or after creating your analyses.

To change a control plan manufacturing for a shop order first click Connect Control Plan. In the dialog that opens, enter the control plan number and the control plan revision number, then click OK.

Note: If a by-product or disassembly component is added as a produced part on the shop order, or if the shop order structure revision and/or alternate is updated, the shop order control plan is automatically reconnected. When the shop order control plan is reconnected all shop order specific control plan lines that may exist will be deleted.
