Create Analysis for Shop Order
Explanation
This activity is used to create analyses
for main product and produced parts connected
to the shop order operation. The routing operation number determines whether
a specific data point will be included in the created analysis. The routing
operation number is defined in the Routing page.
A new analysis connected to the specific shop order is created using the
Create Analysis - Shop Order
assistant that can be accessed from several pages.
- Shop Floor Workbench page: In the
Dispatch List section, click Control Plan, then
Create Analysis.
- Shop Floor Workbench page: In the Dispatch List
section, click Operation Guide. In the Operation Guide
assistant, click Create Analysis.
- Shop Order page: On the Operations
tab, click Shop Order Analysis, then Create.
- Shop Order Operations page: Click
Shop Order Analysis, then Create.
- Shop Order Operations Reporting page: On the
Internal Operations tab, click Shop Order
Analysis, then Create.
- Work Center Operations Reporting page: On
the Internal Operations tab, click Shop
Order Analysis, then Create.
In this assistant you can decide which analyses to create and you
can view the information that will be transferred to the Analysis
Result page when you create the analysis.
You can enable Print Analysis Report
if you want to print the analysis result. You can also enable Consider
Scrap if scrap needs to be considered when creating an analysis. When you click
OK, the system creates the selected analyses and gives you the possibility to register analysis results immediately. If
you click Yes, you you will be able to enter the analysis results.
Prerequisites
This activity requires that:
- A control plan must exist for the Shop Order. This can be verified in
the
Shop Order - Control Plan page.
- The control plan must be in the Active status.
- The shop order must be in the Released or Started
status.
System Effects
As a result of this activity
- The system creates selected analyses for the shop order. The analyses are in Planned status.
- Only the data points connected to the routing operation number of interest
will be included in the created analysis.
For example,
Data Point |
Routing Operation No |
Work Center No |
1 |
10 |
100 |
2 |
10 |
100 |
3 |
20 |
100 |
4 |
20 |
100 |
5 |
30 |
200 |
6 |
20 |
100 |
If an analysis is created for routing operation 20, then only the data points
3, 4, and 6 will be included in the created analysis.
If an analysis is created
for routing operation 30, then only the data point 5 will be included in the
created analysis.
- The sample size for each data point in the created analysis is calculated.
The resulting sample size for each data point is calculated based on
the inspection type, quantity to inspect, and the operation quantity. If
Consider Scrap is enabled when creating analysis,
then operation scrap is considered when calculating the sample size for
each included data point.
- If the sample size has been defined as a fixed quantity and if the operation
quantity is less than the inspection quantity, then the resulting sample
size will be equal to the lot size.
If the sample size has been defined
as a percentage of the operation quantity, the resulting sample size will
be rounded up to the nearest integer.
