Make Analysis Consider Scrap Quantity

Explanation

This activity is used to decide whether the remaining quantity of the shop order operation to report for the main product and the remaining quantity for the produced parts in the shop order should be used as the base for data point sample size calculations when creating an analysis. If the analysis is created after scrapping and the scrap quantity is not considered, the sample size may in fact be greater than the remaining quantity. To solve this problem, it is possible to adjust the analysis to consider scrapped quantities from previous and current operations.

To adjust the analysis to consider scrapped quantities from previous and current operations for a part, enable Consider Scrap for that specific part on the Quality Options for Control Plan Manufacturing page.

Note: This functionality is only supported for inspection of the main product and disassembly components in a shop order and not supported for inspection of by-products.

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the sample size will be automatically calculated from the remaining quantity of the shop order operation to report for the main product and from the remaining quantity of the produced part when creating an analysis by trigger. When creating an analysis manually, this will be the pre-selected option.
