Add Work Assignment

Explanation

This activity is used to add additional work assignments. This can be used, for example if the planned work is incomplete and there is more work that is required to complete the work task.

The tab Allocations on demand in Assign Work dialog can be used to create work assignment for resource activities created through the resource demands. The Direct Allocation tab facilitates creation of the work assignments directly on the task.

Prerequisites

Before adding an additional work assignment, the following must have been completed:

• A Request Work Task must exist.

System Effects

• A new work assignment in status Assigned is created.
• An Event Log is created for this event. Event Logs are generated in the Events tab found in the Attachment panel of the Request Work Task, Request Work Task - Scheduling and  Allocations and Request Work Task - Execution and Reporting pages.
