Report External Cost on Request Bundle Task
Explanation
This activity is used to enter external costs incurred when executing a Request Bundle Task. The cost reporting
is done using the Report Manual Transaction assistant.
External cost reporting is controlled by the Bundle Task Cost Distribution. You can define the below values
to the Bundle Task Cost Distribution:
- EQUAL
- If you define this value, it distributes reported cost evenly among all connected request work
tasks.
- PERCENTAGE
- If you define this value, it distributes reported cost based on planning percentages according to the
following equation.
- Percentage = Reported Quantity X (Request Work Task duration/Request Bundle Task duration)
- Note: The Request Bundle Task duration is automatically calculated by getting the sum of all the child
request tasks.
- MANUAL
- If you define this value, you can see all the connected Request Work Tasks in the Report
Manual Transaction assistant. You can select a specific task to report cost. Transactions are
created only for the task/tasks that have a value entered.
When a Sales Part is linked to a Cost Category, it is automatically added to the sales line that is created
based on the cost line. However, if there is no such connection, the sales part information is retrieved from the
linked Planning line instead.
Note: To report additional costs, the Cost Type, Quantity, and Cost Amount should be
defined
The Cost Category can be specified so that sales lines are created with the relevant price
information.
Prerequisites
- Request Bundle Task must be in the Released status.
- Bundle Task Cost Distribution should be defined.
System Effects
External costs are created for Request Bundle Tasks and Request Work Tasks as a result of this activity.
