This activity is used to create a Service Organization. A Service Organization exists inside a company and is the owner of the Requests, Request Contracts, and Request Quotations, and offers services defined in the Service Catalog.
A Service Organization must be created with a default Time Zone Site, Logistics Site and a Sales Site.
Time Zone Site: This is only used to get the date/time for the Request Work Task.
Logistics Site: The default Logistics Site governs the Part Site on Material lines on a Work Task (unless an Alternative Logistics Site has been defined on the Service Delivery Unit).
Sales Site: The default Sales site that governs the Sales Part Site of the Request.
You can create a new Service Organization via the New Service Organization assistant by entering Service Organization ID, Company, Time Zone Site, Logistics Site, Sales Site and Calendar. The list of values for the Time Zone Site, Logistics Site and Sales Site are filtered based on the Company.
A Calendar can be added to be used in Scheduling.
A Sales Part can be added to the Service Organization information and this Sales Part is used in generating the Sales lines in the Request Work Tasks.
A Scheduling dataset can be added to the service organization to be automatically used on request work tasks/ request bundle tasks of the service organization, when the scheduling dataset is not fetched from the service delivery unit.
Ignore Dependency In Execution value is used set the default value for Ignore Dependency In Execution in Request Work Task Dependencies child table. The value can be changed, if required, for each dependency line.
Allow Multiple Visits is used to set the default value for Allow Multiple Visits field in the Planning and Scheduling in the Request Work Task. This field can be changed, if required, for each Request Work Task. If set to Yes, the scheduling application is allowed to split the work into multiple visits.
By selecting Allow Clock In Automatically option you can decide whether all users of this Service Organization should clock in when they start their Request Work Task Assignments.
Allow Tool/Equipment Check Out is used to enable Check Out option for Assignments that require Tool/Equipment to be self-checked out by the Technician.
