Cancel the Master Work Task

Explanation

This activity is used to cancel a work task defined as a master work task.

If duplicate work tasks exist on the work order, these can be sorted into master and duplicate work tasks. Note that there can only be one master work task for the duplicates. For more information on setting master and duplicate definitions on duplicates, refer the activity Define Duplicates for a Work Order.

At the same time that you are canceling a master work task, you can choose to cancel all duplicate work tasks or to select one as the new master work task.

To cancel all duplicate work tasks, you have to select the Cancel All Duplicate Work Tasks option and to define a new master work task, you have to select the Select New Master Work Task option.
In the New Master Work Task No field, enter the work task you want to have as the new master work task.

If dependencies exist on the work task being canceled, a warning message will be displayed with information on the existing dependency.
