Report Expenses on Bundle Task

Explanation

This activity is used to enter expenses that incur when executing a Bundle Task. The cost reporting is done using the Report Manual Transaction assistant.

Expense reporting is controlled by the BND_TASK_COST_DIST object property on a Bundle Task. You can define the below values to the BND_TASK_COST_DIST object property:

• EQUAL
  • If you defined this value, it distributes reported expense evenly among all connected work tasks.
• PERCENTAGE
  • If you defined this value, it distributes reported expense based on planning percentages according to the following equation.
  • Percentage = Reported Quantity X (Task duration/Bundle Task duration)
  • Note: The Bundle Task duration is automatically calculated by getting the sum of all the child tasks.
• MANUAL
  • If you defined this value, you could see all connected Work Tasks in the Report Cost assistant. You can select a specific task to report cost. Transactions are created only for the task/tasks that has a value entered.

If a sales part is connected to the Cost Category, it is fetched to the sales line created with reference to the cost line. Otherwise, the sales part information is fetched from the connected Planning line.

Note: To report additional costs, the Cost Type, Quantity and the Cost Amount should be defined.

For service-related activities, the Cost Category can be specified so that sales lines are created with the relevant price information.

Prerequisites

• Bundle Task must be in the Released status.
• BND_TASK_COST_DIST object property should be defined.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, expenses are created against the respective Bundle Task and Work tasks.
