Start Travel

Explanation

Use this activity to indicate that the person allocated to the work assignment has started to travel to the location of fault or service and to automatically report travel time.

Once a work assignment is set to Start Travel a new clocking entry will be created and the work assignment will be set to status OnRoute. If then the user Clock In, clocking record created for traveling will be clocked out and another entry will be created to represent that the work has been started.
This will set the work assignment to status Work Started. Now if the user Clock Out the work assignment the previous clocking will be clocked out.

Prerequisites

• A work task should have been defined with a work assignment.
• The work must be assigned and accepted.

System Effects

When Start Travel option is selected on a work assignment,

• New clocking record will be created in Work Task Clockings page with the date and time updated as Start Time.
• Work Assignment will be set to  OnRoute status.
