Define Questions for Employee Survey
Explanation
This activity is used to define questions for the survey. You can also change the order of the survey questions
after they are defined. Questions will be published in the survey in the order that the questions are
defined.
This activity is used to define the questions that should be published on the survey and how the participant
should be allowed to answer. Question numbers are generated automatically. You can change the order of the
questions by using Move Up/Move Down options. Specifying the question type will define whether the answer to the
question should be selected from a predefined set of answers or whether the participant should enter free-text as
the answer.
- If you selected Multi-Choice as the question type, enter a value in the Alternative List ID
field by selecting an option from the List of Values. The number of answers that can be selected as defined for
the alternative list will automatically appear in the No. of Alternatives to Select field.
- If you want, enter the number of a previous question defined for the survey as the qualifying question for
the current question. You can enter questions of Yes/No type or Multi-Choice type if the
alternative type of the alternative list connected to the Multi-Choice type question is Categorized
or Scaling.
- If you have entered a qualifying question, specify the answer option of the qualifying question that will
allow the current question to be available. The answer options available for the entered qualifying question will
be listed in the Qualifying Answer field.
- If you want to get a remark upon answering a question of type Yes/No, set a value in Remark
Required. The remarks to be set as On Yes, On No, Both, N/A .
- When On Yes - If the 'Yes' option is selected and the remarks field remains
empty, it will prevent further progress to the next question. An error message will be displayed.
- When On No - If the 'No' option is selected and the remarks
field remains empty, it will prevent further progress to the next question. An error message will be
displayed.
- When Both - If the “Yes or No” option is selected and the remarks field is
kept empty, progressing to the next question will be prevented. An error message will be displayed.
- When N/A - If the “Yes or No“ option is selected and the remarks field is
kept optional, progressing to the next question will be allowed without prompting an error message.
- If you want to terminate the survey upon answering to a question of type Yes/No, set a value in
Terminating Question with a Terminating Text.
- If you selected Optional, the answering to the question will be optional.
- If you want to propose certain answers to the survey participants, enter a value in Suggested Answer
and if the question is of type Multi-Choice, enter multiple suggestions in Suggested Multi-Choice
Answers.
- If you selected Survey as the question type, enter a value in Connected Survey.
Note: If questions have qualifying questions entered, the qualifying question must always be positioned
in the question list before the question it qualifies. You will not be allowed to save the changes if this
condition is not fulfilled.
