Match Database Columns with XML Tags
Explanation
This activity is used to match information provided in an XML file with relevant database columns used by the
IFS Cloud to store data.
The mapping section of Credit Card Mapping page for format type XML is used for this purpose. The following
important features can be achieved using this activity:
- XML Tag field is used to define the xml tag information that a relevant database column is
mapped.
- Expression field is used to define string operations (e.g. concatenated value), if a database column
cannot be directly mapped to an XML tag.
- XLS Preview field is used to inspect a preview of an XLS statement that will be created based on the
tag.
- If you need to perform a manual mapping, one of the default mappings can be loaded to see an example of
proper configuration.
Prerequisites
In order to perform this activity:
- A credit card type has to be registered in the system.
- Format of the credit card type has to be set to XML.
- You need to know the XML structure of an external XML file.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, a credit card type will be automatically mapped to read a relevant external XML
file.
