Add App Device Setting Traces

Use this activity to add an app device setting trace on the server for a specific mobile app, user, or device. This is helpful for troubleshooting synchronization problems. You can perform this task using the Edit/Device Settings command on the Installed App Details page or the Installed Apps/Devices page.

The trace values are:

• Call Sequence
• Database Access
• Stub
• Skeleton Arguments
• Application code

It is possible to choose which one should be enabled and traced.

Prerequisites

• The sync trace level must be set to Detailed

System Effects

As a result of this activity, additional traces are captured, written, and visible on the Synchronization Traces page.

• Basic Level: Logs incoming and outgoing requests from the app, user, or device only.
• Detailed Level: Captures additional logging for more in-depth analysis.
