Add Default DOP Routing
Explanation
This activity is used to add a valid routing revision and a default routing alternate to a DOP order for which a
routing-related DOP log has been generated. Three types of routing-related DOP logs exist:
- Routing for Part - If no buildable routing alternate exist for the part, a DOP log is created;
however, the creation of the structure continues.
- Serial No Routing - If the routing is serial effective and no serial numbers are reserved for the DOP
order, a DOP log is created; however, the creation of the structure continues.
- Routing Release - A check is done before release to see whether the routing is buildable or null. If
the routing still is plannable or has become obsolete, a DOP log is created.
To add a valid routing revision and a default routing alternate to a DOP order from the DOP
Logs page click Add Default Routing. To do it from the DOP
Header or DOP Order page click Add Default Routing on the
Logs tab.
Prerequisites
This activity requires that:
- A routing-related DOP log has been generated for the specific DOP order.
- A valid routing revision with a buildable alternate must exist.
- If the log type is Routing Release, the routing alternate must be buildable.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- A valid routing revision with the buildable routing alternate is added to the DOP order.
- The operations are copied to the DOP order operations along with the associated tools and work guidelines.
The DOP log disappears if a valid routing revision and routing alternate exist. Else the DOP log remains.
- If adding a default routing, the start date is recalculated depending on due date, lead-time and lead-time
offset, where the lead-time is depending on lot size and routing revision and alternate.
