Create Top DOP Order

Explanation

This activity is used to create a top DOP order. No lower level DOP structure will be created.

To create a top DOP order click Create Structure, then Create Top Order.

As a result of this activity:

A top DOP order will be created. If serial numbers are reserved for the DOP header, these are moved to the top DOP order.
The status of the DOP order will be Unreleased unless the orders are automatically released. In that case, the status will be Released.
If the DOP header is project specific the top DOP order created will be tagged with project ID and activity sequence.
A valid routing revision and buildable routing alternate will be added for the top DOP order. If no buildable or plannable routing alternate exist for the part a DOP log is created. If the routing is serial effective and no serial numbers are reserved for the DOP order a DOP log is created.
The due date and the start date are calculated for the top DOP order, depending on due date of the whole DOP structure, lead-time and lead-time offset, where the lead-time is depending on lot size and routing revision and alternate.
