E-Sign

The IFS Cloud electronic signature capability (Document E-Sign or E-Sign for short) allows you to send documents for signing in the context of any IFS business object ensuring a simplified and swift signing process. You can sign and countersign documents within the organization or with any external party. You simply need to enter the email addresses of the recipients in the E-Sign Reference dialog and send the document for e-sign. Adobe Acrobat Sign then sends the document by e-mail to each recipient. Once the signing is completed, the Cc recipients will receive an email with the complete document attached indicating that the signing process is finished.

In order to use this capability, you must have the e-sign permission set granted by a system administrator and you must be the responsible person of the document revision which is to be sent for e-sign.

Additionally, various send options are available for use when sending a document file for e-sign. They are listed below:

Examples of such text tags are:

{{Sig_es_:signer1:signature}} A signature field assigned to the recipient identified as signer1.
{{N_es_:signer1:fullname}} A read-only field for the recipient identified as signer1 to enter his or her full name.

For more information on Text Tags, refer the documentation on the Adobe website.

Documents can be tracked throughout the signing process via My E-Sign Documents and Document E-Sign Log.

Note: The e-sign functionality is only supported in IFS Managed Cloud installations. Remote or On-Premises installations are not yet supported.
