The Documents for Copilot page is designed to facilitate uploading documents to a data lake and interacting with these documents using the Copilot chat feature. The primary objective of this page is to allow users to manage documents that are to be indexed and made available for conversational queries through Copilot.
Users can select documents from Document Management and upload them to the data lake using an action button available on this page. Only documents in the Released status and in the PDF format will be displayed for selection.
You can find a Uploaded to Data Lake column that indicates the current upload status of each document. This allows users to track which documents have been successfully uploaded.
Users with the appropriate permissions (i.e. Document Admins) can remove documents from the data lake. Upon removal, the status indicator will update accordingly.
Note: The documents uploaded are accessible to all the users in the organization who have access to Copilot. Therefore, users should avoid uploading any sensitive or restricted content.
For more information on this, please refer to About Uploading Documents to Data Lake.
A document is uploaded to the data lake and the user has the option to interact with these documents using the Copilot chat functionality.
