Create Serial Object Connection

Explanation

It is possible to create a Serial Object Connection to a Tool/Equipment. This activity uses as a way to register Tool Equipment sub assemblies and carry out maintenance on them. When a connection is made both Tool/Equipment and Serial object should have the same Part no and Serial no. The connection can only be made from the Connect Serial Object command in Tool/Equipment page

Tool/Equipment and Serial Object connection is made considering diffferent scenarios with respect to the Part No and Serial No availability.

Note - When connecting an existing Serial Object it should not be a child object or a parent object of a Tool/Equipment connected Serial Object

Prerequisites

Tool/Equipment shouldnt have any open work orders before the Serial Object connection
Tool Equipment should not have any existing Serial Object connections.

System Effects

Once the connection is made, work order cost and revenue for the Tool/Equipment is accumilated to the connected Serial Object
Part No & Serial No values are updated from the connected Serial Object, if those were empty before the connection.
Object ID and Object Site fields are updated in the Tool/Equipment
Serial Object history is updated
