Perform Takt Time Calculation
Explanation
To calculate the takt time for defined inputs, click Takt Time, then Calculate Takt
Time. The calculated value is saved, and can be used as the basis for additional activities such as
setting the line run rate, or as the baseline takt time for comparison in the line operations analysis.
Prerequisites
This activity has the following prerequisites:
- A production line must have been defined with operating minutes.
- Some demand details must exist for the sample date range.
System Effects
- Takt time will be calculated and stored for the production line, along with the other values documenting the
data used as inputs for the takt time calculation.
- The calculated value will over write the existing value.
