This activity is used to import sales and operations planning values available
in the Sales and Operations Planning for Make to Stock
or/and Sales and Operations Planning for Make to Order
to be used in the business planning process.
By default, imported planning
values will include values for all parameters defined in Integration
Parameters for Sales and Operations Planning page. However, users
can limit the import by selecting Only Include Assumption Driver Values
or Only Include Planning Drivers and Account Values.
By default, Sales and Operations Planning for Make to Stock or /and Sales
and Operations Planning for Make to Order in either Approved
or Closed status are included in the import. The user can however
select to additionally include plans in status In Progress
if required. If planning values from In Progress Plans should be considered
in import, Include In Progress Plans parameter should be selected.
In the transfer assistant only MS Sets and Period Versions used in sales
and Operations Planning are available for selection. For a selected combination
of MS Set and Period Version, the relevant Sales and Operations Parts are displayed
for selection. Note that the available information might be further limited
depending on site access of the planning unit user and from the planning dimensions
definitions on the planning unit.
It is also required to have a one-to-one
connection between the Accounting Periods and Statistic Periods connected to
the Business Plan and Sales and Operations Planning respectively.
The
functionality support both single and multi-company import. When Sales and Operations
Planning values related to sites in other companies than the company holding
the Business Plan are required, such companies must be connected to a Planning
Entity in the planning company. Note that for multi-company scenarios the business
plan should have the Planning Entity dimension set as Used.
As a result of this activity, Sales and Operations Planning values would be imported from the specified company to the planning unit creating new planning transaction rows.
