Update Object Map Position

Explanation

Use this activity to create or update the map position of an object from mobile.The current mobile device location is retrieved and used to update the map position. Use the Person Resource Workflow Configuration action "Allow Create/Update Map Positions" to disable this action if required.

Prerequisites

• Application parameter value for "LOCATION_ON_DEMAND_MODE" is set to FINE or COARSE.
• GPS property is enabled on active application version and in the installed app per device.
• Location service and app permissions to access location are enabled in mobile device.

System Effects

• If the object already has a default map position set, it gets updated with the current device location.
• If the object has no map position, a new map position gets created and set to current device location. The new map position is set as the default map position for the object.
