Proxy Job Stop
Explanation
The Proxy Job Stop activity allows a supervisor or crew lead to stop a skill assignment on behalf of a
technician when the technician is unavailable to do so.
This activity completes the skill assignment, preventing further accumulation of time, and creates a new skill
assignment so another technician can start working on the stopped assignment.
For example, a supervisor or crew lead may perform a proxy job stop when:
- A technician forgets to sign off before the end of their shift.
- A technician leaves due to an emergency before signing off on work recorded.
Prerequisites
- The skill requirement should be in Assigned or Work Started status.
- PROXY_JOB_STOP_REASON parameter should be configured on the Maintenance Execution Parameters
page.
- Proxy Job Stop reason must be specified from the Service Management/Basic Data/Service Work Basic Data/Task
Basic Data/Incomplete Causes page.
System Effects
- The status of the skill assignment changes to Completed.
- A new skill requirement with the same scheduled hours is created to complete the remaining work.
- A new skill requirement is added with the same scheduled hours and the same skill.
- The action is recorded as Paused by Proxy under the ACTIONS TAKEN tab.
- Job Stop Reason is updated as Paused by Proxy.
