Copy Modification Data
Explanation
This activity is used to copy data from one modification revision to another. Click Copy
Modification in the Define Modification page.
The majority of information represented in the Copy Options area in the Copy
Modification assistant is dependent on parts, and therefore requires the Parts
option to be enabled together with the options representing the details you want copied, for instance, part
revisions.
Prerequisites
- The modification from which data is to be copied must have been defined.
- The modification to which data is to be copied must have been defined. This modification must be in the
Preliminary status.
System Effects
- Modification data is copied from an existing modification revision to the modification revision in the
Preliminary status.
- If selected, repair codes assigned to affected parts at user-allowed sites (i.e., for the logged-in user)
will be copied to the new modification revision.
- If the Supersedes Modification copied from option is enabled, a supersedes reference record is created
for the modification to which data is copied.
