View Work History

Explanation

Use this activity to view work history in both IFS MWO Service (ServiceEngApp) and IFS MWO Maintenance (MaintEngApp) app.

• In the IFS MWO Service (ServiceEngApp) app, the work history for an object is called the Service Book.
• In the IFS MWO Maintenance (MaintEngApp) app, it is called the Log Book.

You can access the history from the Object detail page or the Work Assignment detail page. The history includes ongoing and completed tasks and shows the materials used, purchase requisitions raised, and work steps carried out for each task.

When you access the history from a Work Assignment, the Service/Log Book shows information related to the Actual Object defined in the task. Work history for the Work Task Objects (My Work Objects) is cached on your device, allowing access even when offline. This cached data refreshes every two hours on the server and can also be manually refreshed from the mobile client (Main Menu/Sync Monitor/Refresh Cache).

The application parameters SERVICE_BOOK_HISTORY_LIMIT and LOG_BOOK_HISTORY_LIMIT control the number of completed tasks displayed in the work history for the MWO Service and MWO Maintenance apps, respectively.

These parameters define the number of days into the past for which completed work tasks (with statuses Work Done, Reported, and Finished) are considered, based on the Actual Finish date of the task. Ongoing work tasks are not affected by these parameters and will always be displayed in the work history.
The default value for these parameters is 30 days.

Work history for other objects is only available when your device is online.

Prerequisites

• Resource must be set up as a Mobile User.
• Objects must be connected to work tasks as Actual Objects.
• These objects must exist in the mobile app to view the work history.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, you can view the work history for both My Work Objects and Other Objects on the mobile device.
