View VMI Products
Explanation
In a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) relationship, the supplier is responsible for initiating and
executing replenishments, to maintain the inventory levels of predefined parts, at company’s site(s). Use
this activity when you want to view information about your VMI-products. It is not possible to change any
information in this page. This activity is intended for a B2B user acting B2B supplier.
Note:
- The definition of Plan Horizon Date is the date after when an unlimited supply can be found in the
inventory. The earliest date based on the purchasing lead time and the earliest unlimited supply date is taken
for the plan horizon date.
- In this solution On Hand Qty is defined as the field Usable Qty in the Inventory Part
Availability Planning page including project inventories.
- Projected On Hand Qty is calculated by adding On Hand Qty to all the supplies and reducing all
demands within the plan horizon.
Prerequisites
- This activity is only applicable for the Supplier Self-service solution (B2B).
- In the Supplier page, B2B option must be selected for the appropriate supplier.
- Connect your user to the supplier in B2B User – Supplier page and define it as the default
supplier.
- The parts presented must be VMI-enabled, i.e. the VMI option selected in Inventory Part/Main
tab, for the B2B user’s defined sites.
- The supplier is set up as primary supplier in Supplier for Purchase Part page for the VMI-enabled
parts. Furthermore, only records in Supplier for Purchase Part page where field Ownership has the
value of Company Owned or Consignment, are considered.
