Report Arrival of Return Material Authorization
Explanation
To report a Return Material Authorization Line (RMA Line) as arrived, the following options are available:
- Receive: Register Arrival for RMA Line. If you are handling serial handled parts and have
decided to postpone the serial numbering, you should enter the arrival by using the
Receive dialog for parts without serial numbers.
- Receive with Serials/Lots: Register Arrival for Serial/Lot Tracked Parts is possible
- Receive Parts Against Order Deliveries: Receive Parts against Order Deliveries dialog is
only available for order connected returns, which means the return is done against the connected customer order
line. The return can be done for the complete or part of the delivered quantity.
For an RMA Line connected to a package part, the receipts are executed for all of its components only. The
package part itself can not be received.
Prerequisites
- The status of the Return Material Authorization needs to be Released or Partially
Received
System Effects
This action will have the following results:
- If you have chosen to place the received parts in an arrival location, the status of the RMA Line will
be Received. This means that any quality control and stock receipt remain unchanged. Receipt
will remain in status To be Received
- If you have just received a partial quantity, the status of the RMA Line will be Partially
Received.
- When the total quantity is reported as received into stock, the status of the RMA Line will be Return
Completed. Receipt will be in status Received
- Receiving a package part component affects the status of this RMA Package Part Structure
component. The status of the package part RMA line is set according to the status of its components. Example:
When all components are Received, then the status of their package part RMA line will also be
Received.
