Add Assessment ID

Explanation

This activity is used to document a warranty assessment by selecting a Warranty Assessment ID. The selection ensures that the assessment is properly categorized and recorded, allowing the system to update the warranty status accordingly. The technician must determine whether the warranty remains valid or should be voided based on the findings.

Prerequisites

• The technician must determine that a warranty assessment is required based on the fault analysis and warranty terms.
• A valid Warranty Assessment ID must be selected based on fault analysis.

System Effects

• The warranty status is updated based on the selected predetermined Warranty Assessment ID.
• If the selected assessment ID indicates that the warranty remains applicable, the warranty remains valid for the scope, with assessment recorded.
• If the selected assessment ID indicates that the warranty should be voided, the warranty is marked as void for the scope, with assessment recorded.
• The updated warranty status, and assessment ID are recorded in the IFS Cloud
