Explanation

This activity is used to evaluate the warranty coverage for a Work Task. The assessment involves reviewing fault details, verifying warranty terms, and determining whether the identified issue falls under warranty coverage. Based on the findings, the warranty status may remain valid, or be voided.

Prerequisites

• A warranty-covered work task exists in mobile client.
• The technician must analyze the fault to determine if it qualifies for warranty coverage.

System Effects

• If no additional assessment is required, the warranty remains valid for the scope.
• If further evaluation is required, the technician is required to select a relevant Warranty Assessment ID to document the findings and determine the appropriate warranty status.
