Explanation

This activity is used to create a new task under a warranty-covered scope. When a requirement arises for additional work related to an ongoing warranty-covered task, a new task is generated to ensure proper tracking and execution under the applicable warranty terms

Prerequisites

• A requirement must exist for any new task within a warranty-covered request scope.

System Effects

• If no additional warranty assessment is required, the new task is created under warranty without further evaluation.
• If further warranty evaluation is necessary, the technician is required to select a Warranty Assessment ID, which determines whether the warranty remains valid or is voided for the request scope.
