Map Model File
Explanation
This activity is used to map uploaded model files in preparation for data import.
Once a model file is uploaded and reaches the Ready for Mapping status, the Target
Entities section becomes active. From here, you can:
- Add View Names based on the selected Service Profile
- Access and configure the Target Selector and Target Definition
sections
In the Target Entities section, views that were previously marked as Active in
the Profile Configuration page appear in the dropdown. You can select and add multiple
views.
In the Target Selector section, choose a View Name to define its property
mappings in the Target Definition section.
In the Target Definition section:
- Columns from the target view name is listed.
- The Mapping Data Type column shows the following types: Enumeration,
Reference, and Lookups.
- The Override With column lets you override the default mapping using a dropdown menu
(options include Sequence, Custom value, Mapping data type and
Property Path).
- Once an override is selected, the Mapping Value column becomes editable for entering a
suitable value.
- The Override With column includes a Custom Value option to manually enter a
value.
Additionally, the Suggest Mappings button opens an assistant that helps automate the mapping
process with the help of AI. In the Suggest Mappings assistant, you can:
- Choose a Metric: Cosine, Euclidean, or Dot
Product.
- Define a Similarity Percentage.
Based on these inputs, the assistant generates suggestions in the AI Suggested Mapping column
and compares them with existing entries in the Existing Mapping column.
You can then:
- Use the Keep AI Suggestions column toggles to retain or replace existing mappings with AI
suggestions.
- Click Generate Mapping to refresh the suggestions after modifying any fields in the
configuration.
- Use Replace All to apply all AI-suggested mappings, replacing existing ones.
- Use Merge and Keep preserving existing mappings and only apply AI suggestions where no
mapping currently exists.
- After finalizing, click Complete Mapping to save your changes.
Note: Fields marked as mandatory must have a Mapping Value defined before
importing the data.
Prerequisites
- A model file must be uploaded and available in the Model Configuration page.
System Effects
- The model file is successfully mapped with target values and is ready for data import.
