Define SBOM Structures
Explanation
This activity is used to create a Service Bill of Material (SBOM) Structure. SBOM contains of
Models and Groups can be added to an SBOM from the Components tab of the
Service Bill of Materials page.
Adding Model Nodes
- Both Serial and Non-Serial Models can be added.
- Serial Models cannot be a parent of a Non-Serial Model.
- When adding a Serial Model, the Part No. for an Object is mandatory.
- To attach Parts, the Model for part records should be configured.
- When adding a Model to a new SBOM, if that Model has a separate SBOM, that can be included in the new SBOM.
This can be done from the Include Structure toggle.
- Spares defined on Models will be shown in the tree structure.
Adding SBOM Groups
SBOM groups can be used to represent virtual groupings.
Prerequisites
- An SBOM header should exist.
- Models should be defined.
- SBOM groups should be defined.
- The Model for Part should be defined.
- Spares should be defined for Models.
System Effects
An SBOM structure will be created.
