Rename Serial Number

Explanation

This activity is used to rename the Serial Number of the serial part connected to the Service Object. This can be done from the Service Object page.

Prerequisites

• Service Object should exist.
• The serial part should not be connected to Tool/Equipment.
• The Current Position of the serial part should be in In Facility or Contained.
• The serial part should not have any inventory transactions registered in the Part Serial History.

System Effects

• Part Serial will be renamed.
• Serial Number of the Service Object will be changed.
